Indian Villages...
Our Village was very big. Mom's people made it a long time ago. We lived in its biggest house. There was another village just up the river. Those people were very fast runners. They won prizes at the Race Place every year! All the rivers go there and so did all of my friends. There were people living down the mountain, but they didn't come. Dad traded furs with them. They made good pottery and tools. I saw horses for the first time when they brought the Spaniards here.
