We learned to help each other... and we learned to help ourselves. We watched the world around us... the animals and the minnows. They grew up, too, and when they did, if they did, they lived in a world of their choosing.

If the minnow didn't learn to find a place to hide, the racoons would eat him, just like the fox who ate racoons who wandered away by themselves. My cousin had a baby alligator, she wasn't afraid of him. His mother died.
